So I'm looking at one today and will more than likely add a 4th boat to my inventory just to keep her happy. She's not much of a fisherperson and wants something the rest of the family can ride and relax on. I have no experience with pontoon boats so this will be a first and I've never had a desire to own one of these things since they're big, ugly, slow and can't get into some of the places I like to fish but fixing it up will give me a project to do over the winter months. Any advice from previous pontoon owners would be appreciated. beerchug

36 volt trolling motor. Guy here fishes from one. He is wheelchair bound. must have floating dock access, see him on the water often solo. his is actually a tri hull with a two 60's on back. they have gotton real popular around here. hate the ones that insist on playing sound systems loud enough to hear across a flat, butt for a party platform they are fun . i had a 20' with a 50 at a cabin in the U.P. years ago. used it for bass but sucked in the weeds and with a hard top it sailed if there were winds. when the engine died used it as a dock which it was awesome as. You are a lucky man ! my wife would take body parts if I showed up with another boat.

That is the Twin Family Truckster of boats. Christie Brinkley is not going to wink at you from her Ferrari as she passes you in that.
Nonetheless, with about 200 hours of hard work, you could make that a fun platform. Good luck.
I should add that my wife wants one too.

I have a buddy who owns one, let me tell you, they are great for putting out a dozen or more lines during crappie season...Check those pontoons for leaks, I believe you can pump air into them, and I would also check the floors for wood rot...I think you might learn to like that boat, the first time you want to take a nap...😄

They are nice if you keep them on the water. A PIA to trailer and launch.

It turned out to be a POS. The motor ran but it needed a new deck, the console was gone and the steering cable was frozen just to name a few things wrong with it. The pontoons were in good shape and with a new deck, it would make a great floating dock. He wanted it gone and dropped the price to $800 so I almost bought it for a dock but the wife doesn't want a floating dock in the pond.
