Got a Inshore Slam This Morining

  My partner bailed when the cops turned us away at the ramp at 4 am... So I dropped off the boat and went stealth.  Had to drag the yak about a 100 yards but it was worth it.  On the water by 7am .  Took 6 trout to 18" on a heddon super spook jr in mullet maybe 2-3' water. Wind was right to drift a bar and took a 23" snook and 20" red on 1/8 jig dressed with DOA 4" paddle tail in clear/silver glitter. Caught some more trout but action slowed as the tide died. Off the water by 10:30.

Nice job! I caught a few crappie, a bass, a catfish and a bream. All with a minnow under a cork. I guess it's a freshwater grand slam!

You ever spider rig for crappie? A friend has had me be his back man while he worked 24 rods. When we hit schools I can not keep up with dehooking and handing rods back to him, total blast ! Fish fry and cold ones party the next day is almost as much fun as the fishing.

freezer will know where this is... Eufaula.. under the bridge with the street lights. The crappie / croppie live there.

Yes, I will spider rig when it gets cold and they go deep. I only run about 6 rods because that's all I can keep up with!

I really ought to try it when it's hot since they go deep then too, but damn it's hot. I'd rather green light at night in the summertime. Caught a nice mess of Crappie and a few bass and a flathead catfish Sunday. Although we have a shelter in place now, we are allowed to get groceries, so I'll continue to get groceries as long as they let me! The freezer has taken a pretty hard hit recently!

Same here. I usually don't keep any thing unless the freezer is getting low and so far it isn't. I went today (alone) and caught 125 trout but only two were keepers... one 20" and one 18". Both went in the cooler just in case they stop us from going to the grocery store.

I got an inshore slam last weekend. Spanish, Speckled trout, ladyfish, pufferfish. Those pufferfish are hell on a cork!
