It's way down in Fort Pierce, Florida, $12900 asking. I'm in Louisiana so pretty far but seems like a decent deal if motor checks out. What do you think?

That is a long drive from La. I drove to Jacksonville to buy mine and I thought that was a long way. I'd want to know everything about it before making that trip but the asking price seems fair to me. I see it's on a lift so does it have a road worthy trailer ?

Says it has a trailer. That sure seems like a long way to get a boat.

If you're seriously considering it, I suggest you research "F150 balancer assembly failure" on the 04 thru 06 Yamaha F150s. You will want it to have the upgraded assembly. If the original balancer assembly hasn't been replaced ($300 - $500 job) it may or may not blow up at any time. (Mine blew up with under 400 hours and was beyond repair) Just sayin.

I'm pretty surprised that the used boat market is as good as it is. I think steals will be available in the next 3 months.

I hope you're right, I want to sell my Carolina Skiff and replace it with a Key West 1720 but every one I've seen so far is either sold within minutes or over priced.

I'm thinking if the government stops giving trillions away, folks are going to have to go back to work, but not everybody will be able to. Those who can't, and maybe have grown accustomed to living beyond their means, will be unable to make their boat payments. They'll have to sell them, thus flooding the market. Others will just sell wholly-owned vessels in an effort to turn assets into cash.
Look for same in RVs, vacation homes, luxury vehicles and other non-essential crap we buy.

I saw that one. That guy is out of his mind. The best thing about that boat is the motor. I've found a few great looking 2002 to 2005 Key West 1720s listed for under $10k but they sell quick. I think they originally came with a Yamaha 2 stroke 90 and that's fine with me. If you see one listed around $10 or $11K please let me know. I'm going to list my Carolina Skiff as soon as it quits raining and I can take some pictures. Book value on it is $9,115 so I'm hoping I can get $8,500 out of it.

My thoughts were pretty much what Crabs said. When people need money, they sell boats. And when a bunch of people need money, they put a bunch of boats on the market and the price goes down. I guess the reason the market has done so well so far is that boating is something people can do during the pandemic.
