My live well pump started leaking and quickly started filling water in hull. Good fortune was I was nearly back to ramp. I want to replace on my own because marine shops booked out for three weeks! Good business to be in I guess. I took the four screws off holding the brass pickup cover but can’t get the blasted cover loose to begin pump replacement. Is it just marine sealant holding on there?!

I hope you aren't talking about the brass pickup that's under the hull! If a pump ever starts leaking in the future, close the shut off lever under the pump and no water can enter. Not all but most live well pumps have a removable head unit and the base is screwed into the brass shut off valve so unless your pump is broken and leaking at the base, all you should need to replace is the pump insert which will snap right in to the base. If the base is broken and leaking you'll need to unscrew it from the shut off valve to replace or repair it. I had a base crack and leak once. I removed it and melted the crack up with a soldering iron. That was probably 5 years ago and it hasn't leaked since. Better to just replace it...but I'm cheap.

Thanks Juan!! Think I really screwed up tho! I thought the brass plate under hull was just stick right with marine sealant so I took a flat saw blade and cut thru 3/4 of the plate until I couldn’t get it anymore thinking the tube from pump shaft may be a fixed to brass plate. Thinking I cut it now.

Thinking I cut it now. Yep, I think you might have made matters worse by doing that. I'm Pretty sure the pick up under the hull is attached to the shut off valve inside the bilge and it sounds like you may have damaged that connection with the saw blade. If you cut into anything brass, you'll probably need to replace the whole pick up assembly to fix it.
