I've been searching Craigslist several times daily for a Key West or Sea Pro SV1700 for better than a month. Finally found the right boat at the best deal I've seen at 3 a.m. this morning but I didn't want to call that early so waited until 0630 and still got an answering machine so left a message and the guy called me back. Apparently someone called before I did so I was the 2nd caller. He bought my boat! Can't blame him since it was priced well below book value. Probably never find another deal this good. 2005 Sea Pro SV1700 center console bay boat. 90hp Yamaha-low hours and runs great. Alum trailer, trolling motor and depth finder. $6,800. Craigslist sucks!

I was planting some grape vines at the bottom of some trees the other day and a swarm of yellowjackets didn't like that. I counted 12 hits on my arms, hands, back and side. I've been hit before but never more than two at the same time. My lower arms looked like Popeye's arms and I couldn't sleep. You are old enough to remember Popeye aren't cha?

I tell everyone it is first person to put cash in my hand. When I am on the buying side , I ask seller if I show up with a bankroll (and a concealed) would they feel the need to hold item for "the first caller". Been blown off so many times from "buyers" that set up times to see something I am selling, killing my whole day. One of reasons I prefer Facebook market place to list items and only deal with people willing to call, not text.

One of reasons I prefer Facebook market place to list items and only deal with people willing to call, not text. Craigslist used to be a great source to buy and sell but there are so many scam artists and fake ads now that it's hard to find a legitimate ad. I almost asked the guy selling the boat if he'd sell it to me if I got there first with an extra $500. but thought if he had said he would, I probably wouldn't have trusted anything he said about the boat. I've held stuff for a buyer before and regretted doing it so I no longer tell anyone I'll hold something. First to show with the money is the best way to go when dealing with buyers from Craigslist. I had to sign up to Facebook (again) to join the Marketplace but after signing in, it tells me I don't have access to Marketplace because I haven't been a Facebook member long enough... I HATE Facebook too!

I'm actually allergic to those buggers so I know how one sting gets me. Hope you are doing better and took care of where those buggers lived.

Almost back to new now and yep, I got my revenge, the next morning I put a screen over the hole so they couldn't escape then emptied two cans of wasp spray into the hole followed with a couple gallons of gas. The tree may die but the bugs didn't stand a chance. btw: I think you're right. Popeye was one of the original rappers. "I'm strong to the finish cuz I eat my spinach" was #1 on the charts for years.

Juan that's a terrible story about the Yellow Jackets.
Nice touch putting the screen over the hole and then dispatching them. For future reference, watch the hole at dusk so you can watch them all going back to the nest, When nobody else arrives for the evening, pour 1 cup of gas in the hole. If the liquid doesn't get them the fumes will and you'll have a much better chance of the tree living. I like the screen idea. I'd lay that down before pouring.
I should tell you about the time my wife ran over one of those holes while cutting with the zero turn...
