I’ve been searching for an SV and they keep selling before I can get to them. I came across a hull-only 02 SV1900 with no electronics, trim tabs or trolling motor. The hull looks clean and has an aluminum trailer. Any thoughts on how much I should pay? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum and good luck finding the right boat. The used boat market is off the charts these days. I had the same problem .... searched for an SV1700 for months and ended up buying another brand. Value will vary with condition and location but in my area book value has the 19 ft 02 Center consoles with a single axle trailer listed between $6500 - $7500

Thanks, NADA doesn’t list an SV1900 for ‘02 and doesn’t seem to track the local market well. Thought I might get a better idea on here. Seems the used market prices are often driven by motor and accessories, so it’s hard to figure out what a bare hull is worth. Thanks again.

Thanks, NADA doesn’t list an SV1900 for ‘02 It does. That's where I got those numbers. IMO $6 - $7K sounds too high for a naked hull. Good, used outboards are scarce and in high demand now too and if you go new you can expect to throw another $12 - $15K for the options you mentioned at that hull and still have to install all of it. Personally, I wouldn't buy a motorless boat but if I did, I'd have a motor lined up to go on it and offer less than half the book value for the boat. I think you'd be better off to be patient and keep looking.

Thanks for the sage advice. I’ll make sure I have everything lined out if I go that route. You mentioned going with a different boat. I hate to keep asking questions but any recommendations on other makes/models with similar draft and ride? Thanks!

There's a lot of well built boats out there. I was looking for a smaller boat I could use in local rivers and lakes and as a back up to my SV2100 and ended up buying a Scout. There are others but for starters I'd look at Scout, Key West, and Sea Pro. They are all well built and priced between cheaper and expensive boats. I'd avoid Carolina Skiffs like the plague ... That's just me based on prior experience.
