...ok...I get that SeaPro boats aren't exactly manufactured with kicker motors for slow speed salmon trolling in mind, and most forums seem to indicate battery-powered bow-mounted motors as the customary sources of secondary power. But if you have a transom-mounted kicker--on or off a bracket--I'd love to see a couple pics and description of works or not. I'm ready to drill holes into my transom to mount either a 4hp or 9.9hp Mercury kicker...both run well, although one is like 55 lbs and the other 100 lbs. Maybe too much for my 190cc? It just seems like mounting a kicker on the Campion was easy, while the SeaPro isn't really set up for that...

I was tempted to post a picture of the wife. Great post.. I don't think I've ever seen a post about kickers.

Well here I thought you were a pretty cool guy and all, and it turns out you've been kicking your wife this whole time! Lol--

I will be adding a Merc/Tohatsu 5h in the near future. Swim platform issue for me. Considered mount for platform but fear bounce might leave it on the road. This leaves relocating on the other side(more holes) option which is not favorable. Will settle with a Panther Marine or the like more than likely! Good luck!

Hi Calmtspot--
I drilled holes for the Panther motor mount--but this SeaPro has a void between the hull and the decking. Am tempted to disregard the possibility of crushing the transom, inasmuch as I've got a decent aluminum backing plate in place.
Might take the time to reinforce each drilled hole/cavity with epoxy.
What did you end up doing?

Just purchased Panther 550407AL on Cabelas website. $169 w/discount. Got a zinc steering rod assembly as well $40. Bend to fit. The starboard swim platform holes, hopefully some will be reused. I will manufacture hull reinforced brackets for inside hull. Already bored 3 1/2" hole in starboard fish box wall for access to mount downrigger. This 550407AL will allow larger mtr. if needed later. I currently have a 5hp Tohatsu. Once completed, I will share picks. Will make safety cable.
