I'm not a hat wearer normally, but with skin cancer in the family, I've been trying to wear a hat when out in the serious uv times of day. I've tried a number of full brim hats that offer ear and neck protection, but the ones I've tried are not ideal. The ones I like while fishing do weird stuff while underway like either the brim flips up or down in my face or want to fly off even if they have a chin strap it's annoying. Anyone have a hat that they love that offers protection but still wants to stay on?

I'm bad about forgetting to use sunscreen but I do wear a hat:
Joking aside, I've ordered and worn those "hydro cooling" hats that are supposed to be 20 degrees cooler than the outside temperature. They don't work so I now wear a wide brim hat with a neck flap. It has a chin strap that keeps it from flying off. For the record the Hydro cooling hats work well when soaked in dehydrated water.

Yeah, I have one of those cooling hats and it's better than not having one when you're forced to do something outside in the south in July. But I don't wear it on the boat because it doesn't look cool and it doesn't have a strap.
