I'm a new guy here and this is my resume so to speak. I have two Sea Pro boats a 1999 SV21 and a 1999 SV23 Ive had the 21 for about 14 years and the 23 for about three months. I bought the 23 with a 200 Yamaha 2 stroke and repowered with a 2021 300 Suzuki, had the stripes and logo removed, wet sanded inside and out, installed a 2000 GPH bilge pump, auto float switch, Lenco trim tabs, Garmin Echomap UHD 94sv, and spreader lights. (I had to quarantine for two weeks so had some free time on my hands to install goodies) It has Sea Star hydraulic steering and today I am replacing the standard helm to a tilt helm and a 13 1/2 Schmitt steering wheel. Next will be the install of a dash mounted Fusion receiver or a unit that will work with my Garmin and mounted inside the console with speakers wherever I can fit them throughout the boat. I was going to leave the striping off and install a new logo but after it was wet sanded and because the age of the boat you can see and feel where the stripes and the logo were so I'm going to re-stripe it as well. I found a logo online but can't find striping that looks like the OEM and could use some help if anyone knows where to purchase some. I'm also contemplating having a new dash panel made out of Luxmatte so I can flush mount the Garmin, motor gauge and relocate the switches to a new switch panel and install to the right of the steering wheel. The low console in this year boat is making it a challenge. (anyone done this?) Last thing is when the motor was installed the dealer called and said the fuel sending unit was not sending a signal and I asked them to replace it. I told them the gentleman I bought it from said the sending unit was under the console where the batteries were mounted. They removed the batteries and piece of treated plywood he had them mounted on and told me there isn't a hatch to access the sending unit. Anyone replaced a sending unit on this year model and if so where the hell is it. My 21 is located under a floor hatch access behind the leaning post. Thanks in advance for any help! Attachments:

Welcome aboard Kenny, can't help with the fuel sender , there's a couple of guys on here with 23's, maybe they'll chime in. Check out www.hullstripes.com/ for the stripes, they oughta be able to sort you out. Are you going back traditional or a more modern look ?. If your fusion is NMEA2000 capable you could mount it inside and hook it up to your Garmin.

I don't understand how two boats the same year that one has the hatch for the sending unit and one not. I read some old threads on other models where people had asked about location of them in the tank and saw someone posted it would be in the front of the tank but my 21 is in the center of the tank. It's not a huge deal not to have it because I can set the digital motor gauge to 85 gallons when I fill it and the motor fuel monitor says how many gallons are used. If you are asking about traditional striping the answer is yes as there is a raised profile that you can see if you get close and actually feel when you run your finger across it so I need to get as close as I can to OEM striping. The detailer said he was scared to try and wet sand the profile smooth for fear of sanding through the gelcoat. Seems to me if it was that much wear on the gelcoat from the sun over the years he would be able to sand smooth and told me he would try but was on me if he went through the gelcoat trying. He had me worried so I said no leave it and I will re-stripe it. Striping had some scarred marks in places but wasn't awful. Had I known the outcome I would have left it and not spent the extra money to have it wet sanded. The Sea Pro logos definitely needed to be replaced because of dock rash and think I have found them. Color and measurements are the same so I guess I will chance the $125.00 for the pair.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you're dressing the 2300 up right! I did a quick search and all the comments about the sending unit on the 2300s said it's located under the console and is a pain to get to. Not the best place for access imo.

Thanks, that's what I've been told as well. The dealer said they removed the plywood and batteries and wasn't a hatch to access the tank and said they didn't have experience with that year boat but could cut holes and couldn't guarantee it was there. I declined.
Ive spent a good penny on the additions and saved a ton installing them myself. I worked with a friend of mine who owned a boat repair business when I was starting my electrical company in the early 90s so got a lot of experience with installs. It's a pain in the ass and I hate all the itching associated with cutting and drilling fiberglass!

I'd verify with an ohmmeter that the sending unit is not working before I cut a hole in there, it could be the gauge. If you can find pics of the original striping, any decent sign shop should be able to cut new ones out of vinyl for you. Make sure you use name brand stuff like 3M. If you have problems finding someone, I know a guy in VA that does good work. He specializes in old 70's auto graphics like rallye stripes and has done my boat letters and dash decals on my sea pro, but uses good outdoor name brand vinyl.
