I'm starting to get nervous. It's currently still a tropical storm with only 50 mph winds but it's predicted to rapidly intensify to as much as a Category 5 hurricane and one of the projected trajectories has it coming straight at me. I'm still cleaning up from Hurricane Michael and that was 2018! Filled up 15 - 5 gallon fuel cans and serviced the generator this afternoon just in case. Fingers crossed.

Good luck brother. I hate hurricanes. Sounds like you have fuel laid in for some time. How you doing on beer and ice? Get several cases of red wine. Don’t need refrigeration (brilliant, right?). Okay, is your saw up to par? Chains sharp? Got 2-cycle oil?
I’d get a case of waters too. Maybe some beanie weenies. Several cans of chili and some tortilla chips will be useful.
I hope this is a non-event.,

Good thinking Crabs! I think we have everything you mentioned already in the house so we're covered if it hits. I think Phil is a bit further north but if it doesn't change course, still in the path of this thing. He might still be mourning the Queen's passing.

Predictions are changing and it's now looking better for the Florida panhandle area and not so good for the Tampa Bay area. The weather channel's reports and local weather reports around here haven't always been accurate, and they've been exaggerated in previous years so I'm hoping they're doing it again. I don't think they can tell what it's going to do at this point. The local stores are busy and sold out of bottled water already.

Where's Jim Cantore? Whether it's bad or not, he'll make it sound like it ls the End of Days. I hope everybody stays safe.

Thank God we dodged that bullet with only 35 mph winds. My sister wasn't so lucky. She lives just inland of Ft Myers Fl ) Zolfo Springs) and recently had a new home built. They moved in about a month ago. Ian's eye went directly over them. They don't have phone, power or internet but somehow, she can send texts. Just got one saying their new barn was under water and stuff was floating out, trees down everywhere, water almost up to the house and most of their cattle were drowned. It's going to take a long time to get back to close to normal. I spent over $25,000 cleaning up the mess hurricane Michael did here in 2018 and I thought that was bad. It was nothing compared to what the people in central Florida are facing.
