Love my seapro 238cc. One recommendation from a seapro fan, wire the boats better. Manufacturing wire on my boat is a mess.

Yes. We are going to be offering all models with option of Yamaha, Mercury or Suzuki and quite possibly Evinrude as well.
Jeff I have a suggestion for you and Sea Pro that could be simple but an industry first. I know a lot of boats don't have their outboards setup properly. Not certain if either that is done at dealer or manufacturer. Whatever, best I can tell most slap the engine back there and most time it so low it is inefficient and you don't get near the performance numbers that are published. I guess it is more to do with liability issues than maximizing performance. However, most think since it is the way boat came, it must be right. Definitely not always sthe case. I think it would be cool to get with the outboard manufactures and make sure their bolt patterns and shaft lengths on engines match up with a suggested performance guideline and engines should be setup on the boat properly. Like I said its a suggestion. Not sure if its a good thought or bad idea paradigm. As a follow-up I just checked and it seems that most outboard manufacturer have set shaft lengths at 15 , 20 & 25. Obviously the biggest problem is that typical hole patterns for outboards are based on 3/4 of inch on center adjustments. Obvious answer is just get a jack plate to dial it in but that is after market reactive instead of proactive unless you guys put them on as an accessory option or standard feature. I guess gist of my thought is to help consumers on front end get boats setup properly as opposed to just slapping an engine on there and hope it works out.
Checked with Jimmy on this. All original Sea Pro's came with motor's custom mounted to each model to maximize performance. These were optimized by the motor manufacturer technicians themselves rather than randomly mounted by Sea Pro employee's. The same will hold true on The Next Wave!

Jeff; Got a new idea for you to suggest if they have not thought about it already. Since these are fishing boats and most bay boats have trolling motors why not make it easier to install a motor. There is member on the site that just installed a new high end trolling motor and had to cut an access port to install it. That does not need to be the case. "BTW I think there should be a comment to new Sea Pro boats coming out. Create a way for owners to install trolling motors where they can get access to put a washer and lock nut without having to cut a hole in your boat for an access plate. Or, drill larger hole than is needed to fit toggles bolts or other mounting hardware not using a thru bolt system. As a matter of fact I am copying this to other thread." We at the Sea Pro Forum collectively demand immediate action on this topic, or at least acknowledgement you thought about it. Will definitely check into this for you and let you know. Seems like a good idea to me.

Couple things..... Seems there is a good bit of interest in replacement parts or repairs for older versions of Sea Pro (which is understandable) so I thought maybe I should explain the situation a little better than I have so far. In 2006 Brunswick Corp acquired Sea Pro from the Hancock's at which time, other than a brief cpl months of Jimmy staying behind in a consulting role during the transition, Jimmy and Tommy had nothing more to do with the company. In 2009 Brunswick decided to close Sea Pro. When they did, they sold the buildings, and liquidated literally EVERYTHING! What Jimmy and Preston are doing is literally starting from scratch! They are having to up-fit a completely different facility, create all new fabrication and tooling equipment, make all new molds, the whole 9 yards. They simply don't have the ability to repair or replace old SP equipment anymore than if you called Key West or Sea Hunt and ask them to do it. The only exception to this however is they will have the ability to replace seating since they will be doing all their own custom upholstery in house. The other thing I wanted to mention was I beg for your mercy! LOL!!! As mentioned before I have my hands full wearing several hats for the new SP and I will do my best to stay in the loop here with you guys. Please just be patient with me. I think its a lot of fun interacting and getting your thoughts on things. One of my top priorities right now is creating the new SP Apparel division. We intend on bringing a real fashionable and functional apparel brand to the boating industry, NOT just put out the obligatory swag type stuff you are used to seeing from other boat companies. This is going to take a lot of thought and effort in order to do it right and I will definitely be looking for quality feedback from you guys as we move forward with it. I am also planning on creating a special discount offer for all members of this forum when we launch. My goal is to have our first products available by mid-April. With that said....I would appreciate it if you guys would help us spread the word about our social media sites in the meantime. FB: www.facebook.com/pages/Sea-Pro-Boats/668618359913370Twitter: seaproboatsThanks guys!

I'm fairly certain that these 2 concepts are at odds with one another. If you're going to build boats, be the best boat builder you can be. If you're going to make underwear, make the best underwear you can and get a supermodel to endorse it for you. Don't do both. There are no parallel skills or capacities. No common equipment and no common supply lines. Not even a common distribution channel. Sorry, I'm a marketing guy and the genius who thought this one up needs to be voted off the island. Whoops, did I just lose my Member's Discount? Crabs

Dittos on the apparel line. Gotta decide whether you're building boats or selling sweatshirts. There will be plenty of time for that later when the brand resurrects itself. My $.02

Have a 2007 SV2100 that I absolutely love - built during the short-live Brunswick period. Great handling and layout. Brunswick bought a great product and didn't know what they had.
As far as any improvements, just three. Wiring, waterproof the hatches and better access to the raw-water pump.
We have a second home in Morehead City and Sea Pro had a big market share and still see a lot on the water. My mechanic said there is still a very strong market for used Sea Pros and he's made some good money buying, tuning up and flipping them.
All the best and looking forward to your new product line!

I love my Sea Pro, and look forward to seeing the new line up. I'm sure the new boat designs are done, but FWIW the next boat I buy I'm going to look long and hard at how many future PITA repair projects I will encounter from clamshell construction (basically anything in the bilge or bolted thru the deck before assembly). The fuel fill cap, side railings, cooler seat platform come to mind on my '02 SV2100. Larger access hatches, particularly in the splash well and rear deck would be great improvement on 'The Last Wave". Think Grady White's gas tank floor access panel. Having to cut open any part of a boat to make necessary repairs is just poor design IMO.

Just checked the Facebook page. I'm not sure what market yall are going after with the flat bill hats. Also I think the logos are being over designed ( too many bevels, outer glows, textures). Simple clean lines would be preferable for the market that will be purchasing these boats. I like the logo with the marlin but are yall making blue water boats? Also I'm not sure why it is rainbow colored.

If you read the post you will notice I mentioned this is just one of many styles. The artwork is just one idea. I also posted another hat style idea in the same thread. Bottom line is there will ultimately be tons of different original art designs used within the line as well as very simplistic classic designs with only our basic logo's. As mentioned in an earlier post we are bringing to market more of a full fashion apparel line and NOT just a few hats shirts and jackets with our logo on them. We are very aware that one size does not fit all and we plan on offering something for everyone. Our main logo's are both quite simple and clean. It seems you are confusing one design idea (intended for apparel artwork) with our company logo. Our new logo's have received nothing but rave reviews throughout the industry and we couldn't be more happy with them. The rainbow version of the SP Marlin design was just me playing around in Photoshop. I gotta get a little wild sometimes to keep from going crazy staring at a computer all the time.
I'm quite certain you will find plenty that appeals to you once you see what we bring out in our initial apparel offering. Rest assured we have a very clear understanding of who the average Sea Pro consumer is and plan to keep that our primary focus with style and design as we move forward.
In case you missed it on Facebook, this is another hat we are planning.

Funny you said "Spy Pics" That's exactly what I called it when discussing this with Jimmy and Preston. Definitely planning on doing just that Freezer. Just gotta wait a little longer until we finishing the up-fitting and move into our permanent facility.
