Hey ya'll... would like to hear what props you guys with SV2100 and 150's are running, and what performance/problems are you having.
I have a 17 pitch Mirage Plus on my Verado 150. Performance seems average, and I'm looking to improve it. Perhaps a 4-blade prop or Enertia.

My sv2100/175 Verado came with the 17p Mirage. At the time I assumed Sea Pro knew which prop was best since they are both Brunswick companies. Meanwhile, I really haven't had any real issues, although I know some have replaced the Mirage with an Enertia to get rid of the "clunk". But with $4 gas I'm looking for the best mileage I can get. Does anyone that re-propped a sv2100/175 Verado have any info on gas mileage?

jp, That's interesting that yours came with the 18p Mirage. I assumed SeaPro propped all the sv2100's with the same one from the factory unless the buyer ordered something else. Mine is a 2007 purchased in July of '06 right after the '07 came out. I'm wondering if SeaPro changed props since then. I think I read that your's will run 48mph fully loaded with 3 people, full bait tank, etc. I haven't had mine at WOT since I was first breaking it in so I don't really remember what she will do fully loaded. I think it's 40mph, so I'm really interested in your input.

yessir...I'm still curiouse what she'll do w/ just me and a 1/4 tank...... I have to assume that she will break the 50 mark...maybe a hair or two more..... I cant remember if I read it right, but I think the 08' sv2100 might be a little longer than the previous years.....don't quote me on that one, but mine is 21' 8".....do you know the exact length of your boat baklash? It also may have been a dealer thing, these guys that I bought the boat from have been around for awhile and have always been the only sea pro dealer that I know of anwhere around, so maybe he just knows what runs best for that motor/hull and orders them from the fact. that way? I dunno..... I don't run WOT much at all on an average day, but it sure is nice when you need it. And I would check into another prop if you get another 8 mph out of her.....but then again if you are happy w/ that speed then there's no need to drop another 500 bones for another wheel ya know..... Also, I get great hole shot w/ that prop too, so it's not like I'm lacking in the other areas for the increase in speed..... hmmm.....

This thread has just about made me think that I should change my prop as I have stated in another thread. JP Ask your dealer about my prop too I run asea-Pro 190DC with a Yamaha 115 and have everything imaginable on my hole in the water. It runs pretty good with the porp I have but I think it could be improved. Also wonder what it would do at idle as I troll a lot at idle. Actually most of the time on the local lake. My boat runs 40MPH with two people and full gas tank plus equipment. Used to run that with 6 people but took it to the dealer and had the carbs overhauled and it changed real quick. I had a litle gumming problem. ED

allright, sure will ej... I know on my old 19 bayboat w/ the f115, I had a stock yammy 'ss' (black in color) prop that was a 19, 3 blade.....the boat was 8' 6" wide....but that prop would take forever to get her up and out....and top end w/ just me would barely break 40 on gps. With 3 people and loaded to the max I was lucky to see mid 30's in perfect conditions....Some people w/ heavier hulls were telling me they were getting mid 40's loaded down....so i dunno.

I checked my WOT with gps yesterday and with an aluminum 13 1/4 X 17p I got 35.8 to 36 mph. with four people and 3/4 tank gas. I am sure that can be improved with another prop. ED

I have the 17P Mirage on mine and I was thinking the same thing. Performance is good, but I could do better. I might go to the 4 blade 19P Vensura based on this discussion. What diameter are you guys running on the 19P Vensura? If I remamber correctly those come in a 14 & a 14 1/2.

warpig, I changed my prop to a stainless 19P and picked up almost 10 MPH. I got mine on e-bay and I waited until I got a really good deal, less than half of a prop from a dealer. It made a big difference on my DC190. I think that Sea Pro dealers or the factory put on the cheapest prop they could find and everyone that I have had contact with, that changed, has had about the same outcome. I don't know why they under-propped, what seems to me, all of them.<`)>((((< ED

They have a forum that really helped me out on previous projects. Ken at PG really knows his stuff. If you contact them, be sure to know what RPM's you are turning @ WOT.

Can we get this thread back to life, as I would love to not spend 15000 bucks reproping my boat... Any suggestions on the gen1 verado200 on a sv2100. I have a 15 mirage, and top at 42mph. I think I should be getting near 50 honestly.

How many RPMs are you at wide open throttle?

Yeah, You need to know WOT, trimmed out RPMs so you don't over prop and bog the motor. I was turning a little over 6000 with a 225 Mercury 4 stroke( Yamaha built) 21P Michagan Apollo wheel running 52 mph. The stock 19P Mercury wheel was turning roughly the same rpms but topped out at 49 mph. You do have the 6 cylinder 200 V-rod right? I would think your boat should be running mid to upper 40's "properly" propped. My 2 cents.

Maybe try a smaller diameter prop with a 19P and see what it does? Ask Ken at Propgods and see what he has to say.
