Last year bought 1999 sea pro sv2100 cc Yesterday ran out of fuel in middle of the lake. My fuel gauge was showing quarter tank available. Made it to a ramp thanks to trolling motor. Put 5 gallons in and loaded right up.
This morning pulled boat to station in town to fill with ethanol free. I was expecting to tap out at about 50 gallons with 5 gallons in last night.
66 gallons later I could finally see fuel level. This would be a total of 71 gallons.
Worried about possible leak filling the boat with pure fuel I found none and no heavy smell of fuel. I pulled the peep holes near the fuel intake and found no signs fuel leak or overflow.
Pull peep hole to view the fuel sensor and felt all around as best I could and found nothing. No strong smell of fuel. Only notice was a small seepage around the fuel sensor which I believe is likely a gasket fix.
The tank is plastic. Would this a manufacturer tank? Is it even possible to have a 70 gallon tank in this boat?
With the misreading of the gauge I assume I need to replace the fuel sensor. Would anyone have the part number and best place to buy? Is it difficult or tricky to replace?

Should have a 54 gallon tank, I suppose it's possible someone put a bigger tank in at some point. Should be a data plate near the fuel level sender somewhere.

Is there something else somewhere else I should be checking for fuel leak

As stated unless someone ordered a special build or cut the deck and installed a larger tank, it's a 54 gallon poly tank. The fuel fill line will hold a couple of gallons and the tank might flex and hold a bit more than 54 gal but I'd fill up at a different station next time.
I'd drain some fuel and replace that leaking gasket and sending unit. Fumes in the bilge could ignite with only a spark from a battery source.

Is there something else somewhere else I should be checking for fuel leak Fill tube, vent line, pick up tube, fuel level sender and the tank itself. Pretty sure you'd notice 10 gallons leaking in to the bilge.

At the boat this evening No tank label anywhere insight Raised jack all the way up on top of two 2x4’s for more angle Maybe 1/4 to half gallon from bilge area mixed gas and water Pumped out about 2 1/2 gallons from the tank Leaving it raised and all deck lids off or at least propped open Will come back and check level in bilge area tomorrow or Wednesday
Last night I left a rag wrapped around the fuel sensor it was dripping soaked this evening.
The flooring does have rectangular ridged area over the tank area. Was this standard flooring on 99’s. If not standard the flooring must have been cut out to replace the tank in the past
I took pics of the flooring but don’t see how to load pics to this message

I stand corrected. You may not have the standard 54 gal poly tank since there appears to be a seam around your access port and helm seat which leads me to believe the deck has been cut and the fuel tank possibly replaced with an after market tank. You'll need to measure the tank to determine how much fuel it holds.

Thanks Juan. I think I can breathe a little easier now knowing that the flooring is not original and likely cut out to replace the tank. I will see if I can track down the original owners and if lucky they will confirm the oversized tank replacement. Until then I am going to live with the thought that it is between 65 and 70 gallon tank since the overflow from the fuel sensor gasket was no more than a half gallon found in the bilge area. I am going to go check the boat out this evening to see how much flow down into the bilge area after two days of now being elevated an extra 4 inches.
Now on to the fuel sensor. Any suggestions on the part number, brand and where to order? There is no clear model identification on the sensor

Since the fuel tank may not be original, you'll need to measure the depth of the tank to detetmine which sending unit you'll need or order an adjustable depth unit.

Hey dwayne, has that seam on your deck been cut through? My 99 1900 has the same seam originating from the helm and going back past the sending unit compartment and around back to the other side of the helm. My seam is solid and has not been cut through. And as far as I can tell there is a 34 gal. poly tank underneath.

I'm really not sure, mine had the smooth strip in the non skid like that over the fuel tank, I'm pretty sure it had that seam in the middle which is where you cut to remove the tank. My seam has gone as the tank has been replaced, perhaps Juan can check his.

Mine looks a little different and there is no pronounced seam like his has. Hard to tell from his pictures but it looks to me like there's flooring on the deck and an indented seam where the deck could have been cut and then covered with the flooring material. here's mine:

I didn’t make it out tonight to check the bilge holding area for any additional volume of gas that may be inside the hull but will tomorrow and take more pics of the flooring. The area is a rectangular shape from the center console to the peep hole. It certainly looks like a cut out for the tank I just assumed at first this was factory floor style from sea pro. The patch back looks very professional. The grooving is certainly more pronounced in person. It may look shallower than really is. This spring I had a double layer of spray in bed liner for the complete interior area, navy ship grey. I like the traction and coolest in Texas summer heat. Received many inquiries at the ramp and folks leaving with comments they will probably do the same to there boats.

Dunno, but mine has an outline like that on the deck going form the console to the rear fishing deck. It looks too perfect to be the result of someone having cut the deck and put it back together. It looks factory molded. Yours looks the same.
BTW, love the gray bedliner paint.

I wasn’t able to get a true measurement but by measuring the cut out lines it is approximately 48x36x9 deep.
After taking a closer look at the flooring there are drain trails throughout the floor. I had not noticed that before.
After two days of elevating the front end for better drainage there was still very little in the bilge area.
Depending on the gallon calculation assuming the tank is near size as the cut out I am leaning more towards the gas pump robbing of 17 gallons of ethanol free which is pretty darn expensive here. The pump clearly read 66 gallons at 3.35 p/g
