Oh and there's a bolt under that fin behind the prop that you can adjust for steer. The steer fin has to be removed to access it so I marked the location with a sharpie so I would put it back in the correct position.

Are you talking about the steering tab fin under the cavitation plate? I've never understood why the steering tabs on Suzukis aren't sacrificial anodes like they are on most other brands.

Yes. I guess because there is an anode below there that does the trick. It really makes more sense to have a fin that stays intact vs one that gradually wears away.

I don't know of an anode below the tab but there is a flat one on each side of the lower unit. If they made one I'd replace the stock tab with a sacrificial one so it would provide more corrosion protection where it's needed most. They're simple to change and you can easily see their condition. The tab really just offsets engine torque and it's not needed at all if the motor is set up perfectly so why not give it a purpose and make it sacrificial.
