I am kind of thinking I like the fuel filter assembly down here! I will give a try and see how I like it. Easy access where I have it installed.

Looks good. What are you using to restore the black? I've been using some stuff on the faded rubber mud flaps and the rubber on the rear bumper of my pick up that restores a new look but it only lasts a few months and STINKS! My black trim tab actuators were starting to fade so I did them yesterday with the stuff. I doubt it lasts more than a couple of fishing trips in saltwater.

Looks great! I used mop-n-glo on mine and it looks good for a year. BTW, it works fine on a black rub rail, but don't even think about using it on white fiberglass. The UV protection just isn't there and it yellows in just a few weeks.

Juan the stuff I used is made by Bondo. I think it is called restore black or black restore. I will take a picture of it tomorrow. I have been using it for a while now on my Jeep Wrangler. Hope it works well on the boat and the harsh environment. It always last a while on the jeep

Thanks Freezer. I might give it a try. As the stuff I use is not available sometimes at WM where I have always bought it at. It is like a black shoe polish liquid and comes with an applicator almost like a chalkboard eraser with a sponge on it.

Well i worked on the rigging hose today and this is what i came up! I think it looks pretty god, if i say so myself!!! First i started off with this. I then used a hole saw and cut out the middle and put them dremel to it and made the hole a little bigger. I then took out the grommets that my Tohatsu has for the wiring and cable to go thru to the engine. I then put the dremel to the pvc piece and got it it the shape that i needed. I then took all the wiring and cables of the engine and started running them thru the pool/spa hose i bought. 1 by 1 i got them in there. i then twisted the pvc piece onto the hose and installed it. It is a little tight, but it works. If only the hose was about another 1/2" in diameter it would have been a piece of cake. But like i said i got them in and it works!!! I also installed the fuel line. so i could get the full affect of how it will look. I verified the throttle and clutch cable work with no binding!!! Let me know what you think.

I'll have to try that stuff. Here's the stuff I've been using.. it does work for a few months but smells like crap! The hoses look great.. The only thing I'd have done differently is use gray instead of blue.

Well I finally pulled the boat out of the garage. Boating season is almost here! I installed the new swim platform today. Plus I also changed out the fuel filter and spark plugs on the engine. I have just a small list of things to complete before it is 100% done. Install the transducer, new cooler tie down kit and secure 2 wires under the console for the under console light and change out he water pump on the engine. Oh yeah and scrub the deck from where I have been walking all over it this winter. That should be it!!!!

Couple of things, 1. Get a two or three wrung ladder for the swim step. 2. Use a sternsaver.com/ for mounting the transducer so you don't have to drill holes in the boat.

Well I finally was able to get the boat out in the water. Didn’t go as I expected. The motor started right up and ran good for about 5 minutes then an alarm goes off and wouldn’t let me go above 2500 rpm. So I limp back to boat launch and load it back up and head home. Well today I decided to check it out. Well I discovered that my thermostat is bad and I went ahead and pulled lower unit out to replace water pump. That was on my list to do anyway since I bought the engine. Well I got the lower unit off and looked up in the water pipe and there is a piece of impeller lodged in there. So I got it all apart, cleaned it up and replaced the pump. Once thermostat gets delivered and I get back on land I will install and take it out for another test run. Just to make sure it is running right. Momma is ready to go fishing!!!!
